Maxwell Kuntz is the Business Education Student of the Month.  Max is a 7th Grader at W-K and currently in Computer Skills 7.  He is extremely respectful to his fellow classmates and staff.  He has a positive attitude and a desire to learn that inspires those around him, especially when it comes to coding.  Max is very helpful to others and offers his help not only to his classmates but his teachers as well.  His positive attitude and determination to our class tasks makes Max a highly successful individual.  
At school, Max participates in Choir, Football, Basketball, and this spring will be playing Baseball.  He also helps his coaches with filming football and basketball games. 
Max is the son of Dave and Tonya Kuntz.  It will be exciting to watch Max grow throughout the next few years.  Keep up the great work!

Cassie Fancher is the Family and Consumer Sciences Student of the Month.  Cassie is a junior this year, and is the daughter of Chris and Jode Fancher.  She has a brother, Jacob, currently a senior at Gustavus Adolphus College.  Cassie has been in a number of Family and Consumer Science classes over the years, including Career Horizons, World Foods, College Ready, and is currently Mrs. Nilsson’s teacher’s assistant.
Cassie is a 5 year member of the Varsity Dance Team, in which she has been a captain for 2 years.  Cassie has received many accomplishments on her dance team, such as being selected as the Most Valuable Dancer and being selected as an All State jazz dancer 2 years in a row.  In addition to being on the dance team, Cassie is involved in the Spring Musical, National Honor Society, and has maintained a place on the “A” Honor Roll throughout high school.  She is committed to numerous high school committees and is involved in many volunteer activities, both in and out of school.  Two years ago she was a part of the Faith Lutheran Mission Trip to New Orleans.  She is reliable, dependable, and responsible.   Cassie is also this year’s ExCEL award winner for showing excellence in leadership in her school and community.  She works at The Olde Triangle Pub in her free time.
Cassie has future plans to attend a 4-year college and will major in business.  Congratulations Cassie;   you are so deserving of this honor!   You have distinguished yourself as an exemplary student and an outstanding role model to all W-K students.

 Logan Lien is the Industrial Technology Student of the month.  Logan is currently in Welding, Independent Study Computer Aided Drafting and Design and Fabrication.  Even though he is a very quiet individual he is an excellent help to both his classmates and his teachers.  As an independent study student he is always available to the CADD students and serves in a teaching assistant capacity at times.  He took Fabrication this spring semester and has been extremely helpful in designing the steering system for two of the high mileage cars that will be competing in Brainerd in May.  Logan has great technical skills and is going to attend Dakota County Technical College for Landscape Construction.
Logan’s extracurricular activities include Cross Country and Track and he is a member of the National Honor Society.  He is the son of Scott and Kim Lien and has a sister Analise.
