My Name is Robe Stewart and I teach 5th grade, I am honoured to have been named this year’s W-K Teacher of the Year.

It’s hard to believe that I have been teaching at Wabasha-Kellogg for eleven years now. I taught 6th grade my very first year, and then made the move to 5th grade. I also coached varsity girl’s basketball for the first seven years that I taught in the district. In addition, I have been the assistant golf coach since I started eleven years ago.
All of these experiences have afforded me many wonderful opportunites to work with students at all age levels. The greatest award has been seeing numerous students and student athletes learn and grow educationally, athletically, and socially. The connections that I have made with so many students while being part of W-K, has truly been a tremendous gift that I will always cherish.
While teaching at W-K, my wife Heidi and I have been fortunate enough to start a wonderful family too. Our son Madox is now six years old, our daughter Mya just turned five, and our youngest daughter is two.
