LIGHTS…….ACTION…CUE ZOMBIES….AND CUT!
MY BEAUTIFUL SCREENPLAY!  DESTROYED BY HOLLYWOOD!

On stage this week at Wabasha-Kellogg High School, The Craving: Art vs. Hollywood, A Horrific Comedy by Don Zolidis.  Performances are slated for Thursday October 30th at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 1st at 7 p.m.; and Sunday November 2nd at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Adults and $7 for students.
Screenwriter Terry Kyle Morris just wrote his first screenplay, a heartwarming emotional journey.  All of his dreams are answered when a big Hollywood studio decides to produce it, but the dream turns into a nightmare as they transform his beautiful script into a zombie slasher flick. This parody/comedy about horror movies and the film industry should be a fun evening of entertainment.
This show may not be appropriate for young children due to zombies and its parody nature of Hollywood and horror films.  Additionally this production will be using stage fog and strobe lights.
Don Zolidis is a former high school and middle school theatre teacher and is currently a professor of creative writing at Ursinus College. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, Mr. Zolidis received his B.A. in English from Carleton College and an MFA in Playwriting from the Actor's Studio Program at the New School. He has many plays published specifically for high school performances and audiences.
With a cast and crew of 32 students, this year’s cast is a younger group with a majority of the actors in 7th-10th grade.  It has been a great learning experience for all of them as they continue to work through the creative process of putting on a production.  This show is full of comedic moments, character development, and interesting characters.   Furthermore, it gives multiple students the opportunity to taken on larger roles and learn to work together as a cast/community.  Everything in this show is over the top, stereotypical, and a parody of pop culture.
