Math Team Policy

.) This policy document may be revised as needed. Please check the Math Team binder in Coach’s room for current revision.

.) The purpose of Math Team is to encourage acquisition of better math skills by interested W-K students. You don’t have to be an expert, just willing to work at improving your skills.

.) Every Monday that is not a Math Team Meet, practices will be held after school in Coach’s room for 1 hour. Copies of practice tests and information sheets can be acquired and problems will be gone over.

.) To be a recognized “member” of W-K Math Team, you must participate in at least 3 of the 5 meets. There will be additional recognitions of “Top Team Point Total”, “Top Test Score Total” and “Most Improved” when there is significant improvement.

.) There is a pizza party at the last meet. Do not sign-up for the last meet expecting a free pizza if you have not participated in at least 2 other meets this school year.

.) You need sign up to attend each meet by the Monday before the meet.

.) Letters and other recognitions will be presented at the Fine Arts Banquet (Banana Split Concert.) in May. Be sure to read the Lettering Rules.
