Grading
Physical education and health will be graded together.  Health will represent 50% of the grade and physical education will represent 50% of the grade  Health grades will be based on health tests/quizzes, health daily assignments, health projects, and community service.

Absent:
You are expected to make up any missed assignments/work.  You have two days to make up your work for each day you are absent.  (Example:  If you miss 1 day, you have 2 days to make it up.  If you miss 4 days you have 8 days to make it up.)  If you were absent on a day an assignment was due you are expected to turn in the assignment upon your return or it is considered late.  It is your responsibility to go to your teacher during advisory period or 7th hour study hall to get make-up work (unless in both band and choir).

Late Work:
If any work is not turned in at the time work is collected it is considered late.   Late work will be worth 50% of what is earned and will be accepted up to 5 days after the original due date.  (Example:  Assignment was two days late.  Teacher grades it and the student received 80% of the answers correct, so the final grade will be 40%.)  Community Service will not be accepted late.

Community Service
This is your chance to give back!  All students are required to do 2 hours of community service per quarter.  Your act of kindness must be approved by Mrs. Scheel.  Your community service can be completed 4 months prior to the due date.  For example if the due date is Friday, October 2nd it could have been completed June 2nd through October 1st.  Your community service form MUST BE SIGNED BY THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE EVENT NOT YOUR PARENTS.   Bring the community service form with you so the event supervisor can sign it.  Each hour is worth 10 pts.   COMMUNITY SERVICE IS NOT ACCEPTED LATE!
