Welcome to the W-K Visual Art Department!

Check out our K-12 online art gallery
My name is Sherry El-Nashaar and I am  the K-12 art teacher at W-K.  Elementary students have art once a week for 25 minutes and secondary students have several semester-long courses to choose from.  I am looking forward to an excellent year filled with amazing creations!

My curriculum is standards based, focusing on nourishing the whole learner with a quality education in visual art.  My goal is to develop the technical skills of each artist so they are ultimately able to create work that is meaningful and exciting to them.

We will focus on cultivating ARTIST HABITS OF MIND.  Not only are these skills and behaviors essential in the art room, they open doors to success in all areas of study!
