Mrs. Woodford's Special Education

I was born and raised in a small, mining town in northern Minnesota with a family of nine.  I have two brothers and four sisters.  I moved down to Winona, MN and attained my Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University.  I have certifications in Elementary Education (1-6), Mild/Moderate/Mentally impaired (K-12), and also Learning Disabilities (K-12).  After completing my first year of teaching in Grand Rapids, Minnesota I moved down south here to marry Chuck.  We live along the beautiful Mississippi River. We have four children and five grandchildren.  I earned my Master's degree at St. Mary's University. I love teaching and it brings me great joy!  As a special education teacher I work with children who have a variety of disabilities. I help develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each special education student.  The IEP sets up personalized goals and objectives to the student's individual needs and ability.  Depending on the disability I use various teaching methods. It has been an honor to teach at Wabasha-Kellogg and I look forward to another great year. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a fun, learning experience for your child.  Feel free to call me if you have any questions.  The classroom number is 651-565-3559 Extension 317 and my direct email is awoodford@wabashakellog.portal.rschooltoday.com.
